That brought her to the attention of producer Herman Cohen, who cast her opposite Michael Gough in the feminine lead of his suspense chiller, "Black Zoo." This is an original press photo. Zamba, Jr., the lion, willingly takes direction for a scene of the Herman Cohen-Allied Artists thriller, "Black Zoo," in which he plays a ferocious killer. Unescorted, he strolls onto a living-room set (picture No. 1), heads straight for the softest-looking couch in sight (2), and climbs up on the cushions for a little (3) snooze. But director Robert Gordon and the camera crew are in a mobile cage shooting through the bars, while he's doing it. Michael Gough, the British screen's so-called "jack of horrors," makes his American film debut in the picture as a sinister party who uses Zamba as a murder pawn, with Jeanne Cooper, Rod Lauren, and Virginia Grey co-starred. This is an original press photo. by Actress Virginia Grey. Hollywood actress Virginia Grey has discovered Milwaukee's sauerkraut, Polish sausage and lake front. "I've never been to Milwaukee," she said here Monday. "I'd like to stay here longer. My mother was born here, and I think my grandmother also came from Milwaukee." Her mother's maiden name was Florence Pauly, and her grandmother's family name was Breithaupt, Miss Grey said. "I had no idea Milwaukee was on the lake shore," she said. "It's just beautiful here - especially the sunny weather. "We hit tornados, hail and storms up to now." She was in town to publicize the opening of her latest picture, "Portrait in Black," which opens at the Towne theater Wednesday. Miss Grey will leave Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tuesday morning for Charlotte, North Carolina, on the last leg of her tour. Miss Grey drank a cup of coffee in The Journal's cafeteria. "It's really exciting visiting a newspaper like this," she said. "It's just like being on a set." ...television program. Then she will start work in September on a remake of "Back Street."
