This is an original press photo. Films. Louise Brooks was rediscovered almost three decades ago by French critics after her initial fame as a silent screen star in the pre-Depression era. In 1982 she came into limelight with the publication of Lulu in Hollywood, a collection of articles she had written for "little" cinema magazines over the years. "My memories flow so easily, it scares me," says the actress. "I follow the rule of my beloved Froust. The duty of the writer is not to imagine, but to perceive reality.
