This is an original press photo. That's what they call Adele Jergens in Hollywood, and, looking at the photo, it takes no great stretch of the imagination to understand why. Miss Jergens, who was a successful New York model and showgirl, later understudies Gypsy Rose Lee in "Star and Garter." Unlike most understudies, she actually did get to go on in Gypsy's role, and it was as a result of this that she was screen tested and signed to a Columbia contract. She will soon be seen in the Technicolor Rita Hayworth starrer, "Tonight and Every Night," with Leo Bowman in the top male role. "The Eyeful" is now working on the studio's Technicolor extravaganza of old Baghdad, "A Thousand and One Nights," with Cornel Wilde and Evelyn Keyes.
