1986 Press Photo Marilyn Wood - cvb01097

This is an original press photo. Little Maria Marilyn Wood was born in Los Angeles on July 17, 1924 and placed in an orphanage. Her first part in the movie came when she was one month old in a Rin Tin Tin movie. Her most famous part was that of Little Maria in Frankenstein. She most vividly recalls a scene in Frankenstein which did not appear when the movie was released in 1931. In that scene the monster threw her into water expecting her to float like a daisy. In 1944, Marilyn married a clothing executive and severed all contact with her former profession. Marilyn Wood was a widow when she married a long time family friend in 1982. The couple lives in San Gabriel Ca. Her 1986 interview with Richard Lamparski is the only interview she was ever given.Photo measures 9.75 x 8inches. Photo is dated 12-4-1986.
