1979 Press Photo Actor Don Rickles and Ray Milland in X-The Man With X-Ray Eyes

With the spectacular upsurge in scientific achievements around the world, American International undertook a series films based on the new technology. "X-The Man With the X-Ray Eyes," released in 1963, starred Academy Award winning actor Ray Milland, and was one of a series of films made by the company which fed the public's appetite for scientific subjects, fact or fiction. The film, which became the winner of the International Science-Fiction Film Festival, was produced and directed by Roger Corman from a screenplay by Robert Dillon and Ray Russell. James H. Nicholson and Samuel Z. Arkoff were executive producers. In addition to Milland, who won his Best Actor Oscar for "The Lost Weekend," "X-The Man With the X-Ray Eyes" co-starred Diana van der Vlis, well known character actor Harold V. Stone and gave comedian Don Rickles his most important dramatic role to date. Pictured: (L to R) Don Rickles and Ray Milland. Photo is dated 06-27-1979.

1984 Press Photo Rosey Grier and Ray Milland in "The Thing With Two Heads"

Rosey Grier and Ray Milland in "The Thing With Two Head" - Ray Milland as the disembodied head in "The Thing With Two Heads" (1972) and as the lecherous father in "The Attic (1979). The 1945 Oscar winner for "The Lost Weekend" has proved happily indiscriminate in his later years. Either one of these horrors qualifies him for the Who's Who of Screen Trash. Int he first, he climbs into a giant suit with Rosey Grier: in the second (dumped on cable audiences), he plays a foul-tempered cripple who paws at daughter Carrie Snodgress.
