This is an original press photo. LAST FLIGHT FOR THE XB-70 - The XB-70 triple-sonic research aircraft made its last flight Tuesday. It was flown from Edwards Air Force base in California to Wright-Patterson Air Force base at Dayton, Ohio, where it will be retired from service and placed in the Air Force museum. The XB-70 is the largest United States aircraft to fly at three times the speed of sound. The plane has reached speeds of more than 2,000 miles. United States - Air Force - Research.
